Join our dynamic team at Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Inc. as a Phone Receptionist! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience while supporting our dedicated staff in delivering exceptional eye care. Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with verifying insurance information and processing patient intake forms.
- Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle patient follow-up calls and appointment reminders to enhance patient engagement.
- Maintain an organized and efficient front desk area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems to update patient information accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive experience for all patients and families.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a medical setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software, including EMR and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
