OUR MISSON:

The Chester County Food Bank seeks to create a food secure Chester County . We mobilize and educate our community to ensure equitable access to nutritious and familiar food . Chester County Food Bank (CCFB) is a county wide, non-profit organization located in Exton, PA and has been in existence since 2009. CCFB works with over 100 community partners to distribute over 4 million pounds of food annually to Chester County residents. We provide educational opportunities through programs to engage the community in hands on learning experiences.

POSITION SUMMARY :

Under the supervision of the Distribution Manager, the Warehouse Associate & Driver position is primarily responsible for packing, unpacking, and assisting in the daily duties in the warehouse as well as providing support with product deliveries and pick-ups as needed. Duties include a focus on consistency in the warehouse for packing and inventory management. In addition, the position will require the driving of smaller vehicles such as small box trucks and refrigerated vans. To that end, must follow all state and local guidelines for safe vehicle and equipment operations. Perform other warehouse duties as needed to support the CCFB.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Provide "hands-on" assistance and oversight to the various components of the inventory process focusing on the packing and inventory management for maximum efficiencies.

2. Safely load, transport, deliver and pick up product utilizing CCFB vehicles

3. Deliver and pick up agency orders of food and supplies, food donations and or/purchased products on time with accuracy.

4. Pack orders for agencies and programs based on daily packing lists and as directed by supervisor.

5. Assist other CCFB operations in the movement of product and cover for other team members in their absence.

6. Operate all vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.

7. Ensure compliance with warehouse standards according to local health department codes, Feeding America, CCFB, etc.

8. Follow all DOT rules when operating vehicles, maintain safe speed and distance and report all accidents and incidents immediately.

9. Be punctual, accurate and ensure safety standards overall.

10. Must work well with others, have a “can do” attitude and be part of the CCFB team.

11. Develop professional, dependable, and respectful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including management, carriers, supply chain, vendors, staff, volunteers, and donors.

12. Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

1. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Valid Pennsylvania Driver's license and clear driving record.

3. Experience in general warehouse duties including operation of warehouse equipment, forklift, and electric pallet jack. (Training and certification provided)

4. Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds daily and manual dexterity required for operating machinery.

5. Professional, dependable, and respectful of all internal and external individuals.

6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

7. Strong interpersonal, customer service, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.

8. Positive work ethic, energy, and drive.

9. Ability to be a team player and meet deadlines.

As a Warehouse/Driver Associate, you will be responsible for preparing warehouse shipments for distribution as well as getting the food from the warehouse to the community where are neighbors in need are waiting. You will join a great team and have the chance to make a difference and have a great schedule Monday - Friday!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Range - $19-$21/hr.

Schedule:

Day shift: Monday to Friday and flexibility with scheduling of hours is required
