Aronimink Golf Club is seeking a dedicated and creative Event Coordinator to join our team and deliver unforgettable experiences to our members and guests. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for curating exceptional events. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and executing a wide range of events, from weddings and corporate gatherings to social soirees and member celebrations.

The Club's facilities offer golf, trapshooting, a pool facility, a racquet facility and several dining outlets. The Club has a Golf Performance Center, where its members can partake in golf lessons with access to the driving range.

The Club is in Delaware County, Pennsylvania and is about thirty minutes from downtown Philadelphia.

In 2026, Aronimink will serve as the host venue for the 108th PGA Championship.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of special social events, including weddings, banquets, corporate gatherings, and Member events working with the Catering Manager.
  • Collaborate with culinary staff to develop menus that cater to client preferences and align with event themes and offer creative input to enhance the culinary offerings.
  • Meets directly with vendors and customers to discuss contract requirements, menus, set-ups, and all applicable event details in partnership with the Catering Manager.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both vendors and clients.
  • Shares contract requirements, menus, setups and all applicable event details with clients and staff.
  • Oversee and manages the setup, layout, and design of event spaces; ensures that the space is appropriately equipped with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Write and distribute BEO for all events, updating as necessary and communicating with the team all pertinent changes.
  • Create floor plans for events in Social Tables based on client preferences.
  • Handle logistical arrangements, including seating arrangements, decor, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Be on-site during events to oversee operations, handle unforeseen issues, and make real-time decisions.
  • Ensure that events run smoothly, meet client expectations, and maintain the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of all amenities and services offered.
  • Track event-related costs and provides regular cost reports to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of all event-related information, including contracts, permits, and correspondence.
  • Utilize event management software and technology to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities by working with the events team and ensuring events are executed flawlessly.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years in event planning and coordination, with a strong portfolio of successful events.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in event planning software and tools.
  • Creative thinking and attention to detail.
  • Brings passion, energy, and a proactive attitude to interactions with members, clients, and staff.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Regular and predictable attendance
