Regional Finance Manager

Job Description

The Regional Finance Manager partners closely with Operations Teams to provide financial insights, analysis, and reporting that drive strategic planning and performance optimization. This role involves training and mentoring operations managers, ensuring compliance with financial controls, and supporting client and business initiatives. The Regional Finance Manager supports a regional team within the Destinations line of business & reports directly to the Regional Finance Director. The Regional Finance Manager role is designed to learn & delvelop the skills to become a Director in the future.

Job Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Coordinate month-end close processes and analyze variances against projections and plans. Conduct weekly and monthly analyses of food, labor, and direct costs to identify underperforming locations. Perform root cause analysis on revenue, operating costs, and Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) variances.

• Operational Support: Partner with operations teams to enhance profitability through revenue growth and cost efficiency. Oversee compliance with contracts and assist in contract performance reviews. Support client site audits, quarterly business reviews, and budget presentations.

• Training and Mentorship: Train operations managers and unit bookkeepers on financial reporting systems and responsibilities. Ensure financial reports meet accuracy and integrity standards.

• Strategic Initiatives: Participate in new business and client retention efforts by providing analytical support and proformas. Coordinate monthly projections and planning processes, including setting targets and budget presentations.

• Administrative and Compliance Activities: Develop and submit invoices for business unit contracts to ensure timely payment. Manage accounts receivable collections, inventory, and capital expenditures to optimize cash flow. Assist with internal and government audits as needed.

• Special Projects: Create ad hoc reports and perform analysis for senior management. Provide financial and statistical data for historical, current, and future evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA preferred or coursework toward MBA.

• Minimum 4 years of accounting/finance experience with progressive analytical responsibilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel, spreadsheets, and database software.

• Exceptional organizational skills, detail orientation, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

• Ability to travel as required up to 25%.

• This is a REMOTE position & East Coast preferred.
