Communications Advisor

Under minimal supervision plans, develops, implements and evaluates effective large communication efforts including strategy development, content determination, research, writing, editing and validation.

Essential Functions

• Provide critical communications support to multiple teams related to strategic messaging to contracted service providers and couriers.

• This includes key business relationships with teams like Service Provider Solutions, First & Last Mile Engineering, Safety, and Customer Experience.

• The position will help enhance new and existing channels (from websites and scanners to in-person forums and newsletters) used to communicate with these on-road businesses and team members that serve as the most immediate representation of the FedEx brand to customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience working with the FedEx service provider model

• Ability to absorb complex information and distill it into engaging content that can be understood by a variety of audiences.

• Experience developing internal communication strategies for large change initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

• Five (5) years directly related experience.

• Demonstrated experience in institutional or corporate communications with an emphasis on communication planning/analysis and exposure to print and non-print media strategies.

• Ability to study complex data and broad business strategy and convert into practical, creative and effective communication strategies.

• Highly proficient analytical, problem-solving, organization, creativity, grammar, writing and human relations/relation management skills.

• Directly related advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.

• Directly related experience may offset degree requirements.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years directly related experience.

More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. A related Master’s Degree equals two (2) years experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated experience in institutional or corporate communications with an emphasis on communication planning/analysis and exposure to print and non-print media strategies.

Ability to study complex data and broad business strategy and convert into practical, creative and effective communication strategies.

Highly proficient analytical, problem-solving, organization, creativity, grammar, writing and human relations/relation management skills.

Pay: Memphis, TN range: $6,511.62/mo - $10,744.16/mo; Pittsburgh, PA range: $6,854.33/mo - $11,309.65/mo; Plano, TX range: $6,854.33/mo - $11,309.65/mo

Additional Details: This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN, Pittsburgh, PA, or Plano, TX and candidates must live within a 50 mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning employees will be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.
