Property Accountant / Senior Property Accountant

Kinsley Properties is a privately held, full-service real estate developer and manager with a reputation for integrity and long-term relationships. We're seeking a Property Accountant / Senior Property Accountant to take ownership of the financial health of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you'll be the key partner ensuring accurate, timely accounting and insightful financial reporting that supports our mission of delivering exceptional real estate solutions.

What You'll Do

Own the full accounting cycle for your assigned properties, including:

• Complete Financial Oversight - Manage all daily accounting operations and monthly/quarterly reporting.
• AP & Vendor Management - Process invoices from approval through payment; maintain vendor W-9s and certificates of insurance for 1099 preparation.
• Bank & Ledger Control - Monitor accounts and perform detailed monthly reconciliations.
• Journal Entries - Post recurring entries (depreciation, accruals, amortization, prepaids).
• Tenant & Lease Administration - Analyze tenant ledgers, track receivables and prepare annual CAM reconciliations.
• Quarterly Financial Packages - Prepare statements with full supporting documentation for management review.
• Key Point of Contact - Serve as the primary accounting resource for your assigned entities, partnering with property management and leadership.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvements that keep our team best-in-class.

What We're Looking for

• Experience: Prior accounting experience required; commercial real estate or property management background a plus.
• Education: Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills; willingness to learn industry-specific accounting software.
