Barista / Front of House (Part-Time – Weekend Focus)

The Ground is a high-volume neighborhood café rooted in our motto: Propagate Kindness. We serve specialty coffee, bubble tea, seasonal drinks, food, and are a curated plant + gift retail space.
Our shop is warm and community-driven and also fast-paced, detail-oriented, and serious about hospitality.

We’re looking for a mature, steady, self-directed barista to join our team, especially someone available on our busy weekends.

What This Role Looks Like
This is more than a “pulling shots” position.
On any shift you may:
* Dial in espresso and steam milk
* Build 30+ drinks during a rush
* Work the register and answer detailed menu questions
* Support retail and plant customers
* Restock, sweep, wash dishes, and take out trash
* Jump in wherever the team needs support
* 6 hr shifts usually 7a-1p or 1p - 7p

We can train coffee skills.We cannot train reliability, composure, or attitude.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Shows up on time and communicates clearly
* Stays calm when the line is long and tickets are stacking
* Brings kind, steady energy to guests and coworkers
* Takes feedback professionally
* Takes initiative without waiting to be told what to do
If you thrive in busy environments and take pride in doing things well, you’ll do great here.

Experience
Strong barista fundamentals are preferred.We also welcome candidates with:
* High-volume FOH experience
* Drink preparation experience (bartending, boba, smoothie, etc.)
* Hospitality experience requiring multitasking and customer interaction
* POS experience (Square a plus)
Most importantly, you should feel comfortable engaging guests while staying organized under pressure. Weekend availability is required.
