Public Relations Account Executive
PUNCH Media , Philadelphia’s premier hospitality and lifestyle public relations firm, is seeking a vibrant, dedicated, and creative candidate for an Account Executive role who also shares our zeal in finding and communicating our clients’ stories.
PUNCH Media is a full-service boutique agency specializing in public relations, social media management, marketing, events, consulting, and brand development. Our passions lie in food, beverage, hospitality, and the people who bring those talents to the fore.
Contender must have proven public relations experience in food, beverage, and lifestyle arenas. The ideal hire excels at consistently providing thoughtful communication in a fast-paced, self-directed environment. Applicant should be dynamic, aesthetically driven, boast exceptional media relations skills, and possess determination to secure earned media. Candidate will also be experienced in industry software and applications, including but not limited to Google Suite, Canva, Microsoft 365, Critical Mention, etc.
Account Executive:
AE contenders are individuals who are strong communicators who love the food, beverage, and hospitality industries. They have confidence in their writing and pitching skills with an eye to always improve, expand reach and new contacts. They seek to grow and strengthen their client and media relationships and deliver measurable results. The Account Executive is eager to turn insight into results and to embrace significant potential as an account leader by honing creative, strategic, and leadership skills.
Some responsibilities:
- Act as day-to-day client counselor and collaborator with clients and team, skillfully and with good judgment
- Write, edit, and pitch both long- and short-form press materials, actively follow-up on pitches
- Collaborate on the execution of integrated campaigns that blend media relations, content, and strategies to maximize client impact
- Assist with idea development, research and editing of new business proposals
- Manage approved team workflows, delegate effectively to interns, and mentor junior members to ensure high-quality deliverables and professional growth for all
- Maintain account reporting: tracking and sharing results with team and client
- Identify potential opportunities to organically grow accounts and new client engagements
- Manage accounts to budget including hours and expenses
Some requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related field
- 4-5 years PR agency experience in a hospitality and/or lifestyle capacity is required
- Proven track record for developing and executing PR campaigns
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Collaborative and solutions-based workstyle
- Ability to take initiative, juggle multiple deadlines, priorities, and personalities
