Accounts Payable Associate
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our client to support efficient payment processing and maintain accurate financial documentation. In this role, you will help manage incoming inquiries, research payment issues, and ensure vendor and member payments are handled promptly and correctly. This position plays an important part in keeping financial workflows organized, compliant, and timely across multiple business lines. This is a hybrid, temporary opportunity based in Philadelphia, PA, requiring on?site work Tuesday through Thursday.
Compensation:
$21.43/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Associate:
- Support daily inquiry management by researching and responding to questions received through email and internal systems.
- Process payment requests, voids, reissues, and address updates while adhering to established departmental standards.
- Maintain accurate logs, organize documentation, and manage returned check mail to support compliance and audit readiness.
- Assist with month-end activities, escheatment tasks, and cross-departmental projects as operational needs arise.
- Contribute to overall workflow improvements by documenting procedures and ensuring payments are issued in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Skills for the Accounts Payable Associate:
- High school diploma required; a college degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook at a beginner–intermediate level.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, paired with sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
