Position at Keystone Powdered Metal Company

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Engineering Supervisor who will be working in our Lewis Run, PA location. This person will report to the Engineering Manager and/or Plant Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising the day to day activities of direct reports and various personnel issues such as performance appraisals, hiring new personnel, organizational charts, job descriptions and development and training of employees.

This position requires a significant amount of hands on engineering and maintenance support.

View Safety as a top priority.

Involvement in new equipment specification and development

Work with manufacturing and maintenance to troubleshoot/solve manufacturing issues and aid in scrap reduction and up-time projects, with a focus on Primary processes.

Responsible for continuous process improvement plant-wide.

Provide engineering support for manufacturing areas.

Authorized to make necessary changes to order sheets to ensure the quality of the parts being manufactured is maintained.

Monitor pressing process and make improvements such as tool life, machine rate, quality improvements, etc.

Analyze problems with primary equipment and make improvements to reduce scrap and increase uptime and rates.

Be involved in quotation of new business

Maintain accurate documentation in all aspects of the position.

Reliable consistent attendance.

Qualifications

Understanding of P/M Process and product applications a plus.

Good communication skills both verbal and written.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

A minimum of 5 years experience managing employees

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
