Duties and responsibilities:
The Self-Sufficiency Manager assists in leading and overseeing program activities aimed at engaging with individuals seeking to disrupt and permanently break the cycle of poverty. The Self-Sufficiency Manager will also provide long-term case management services focused on moving individuals off the public welfare system.
· Assist with providing program oversight as assigned, to include training of new staff, assisting with difficult or complex cases, ensuring staff are meeting documentation and reporting requirements through quality assurance processes, and assigning referrals.
· Assist with the scheduling and facilitation of team meetings.
· Provide long-term case management for enrolled individuals, developing goal plans and staying in regular contact to re-assess what resources are needed, and keeping client files up to date.
· Partner with other agencies that can provide supportive services which address barriers to economic self-sufficiency, using a team approach to help clients reach their goals.
· Perform community outreach, network, participate, and attend related meetings with other relevant agencies. This includes community outreach, networking, and attending community meetings.
· Conduct individual or group workshop sessions on self-sufficiency topics as assigned.
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Three years of demonstrated and related experience required.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, including crisis/conflict management.
- Must be comfortable with public speaking and represent the agency in a professional manner.
- Be comfortable in visiting clients in a variety of settings.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekend or evening hours.
- Ability to successfully pass Act 33/34 and FBI clearances.
- Valid Driver’s License and car insurance with an acceptable motor vehicle report.
- Reliable transportation available daily.
- Ability to travel within 3-county service region daily.
- Ability to complete Getting Ahead facilitator training within six months of hire.
Salary:
This is a non-exempt position with a starting hourly rate of $22.40. This position is based on a 35-hour workweek.
