Senior buyer

The Opportunity- QVC is looking for a Senior Buyer with servant leadership and perseverance whom will bring the QVC customer a new approach to beauty with innovative techniques that make her come back for more.
- The Beauty Buyer boosts beauty sales and promotes unique beauty assortments buying saleable product by discovering, encouraging, and cultivating new ideas while keeping the customer at the heart of everything that they do.
- This buyer will purchase assortment such as Philosophy, Hair Care, Hair Tools, and Fragrance. While we are in the office bi weekly Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays we ask that Senior Buyers come onsite for critical business meetings as needed on other dates as necessary.
- Identify new products and brands to surprise and delight the QVC customer throughout the variety of platforms.
- Lead a team and find the balance between delegation and accountability for the successes of the team. Develop knowledge needed for higher performance.
- Create a feedback rich environment by supporting the team's development. Inspire others to give their best effort by leading within the QVC values.
- Grow the business to ensure that financial plans are achieved through partnerships with internal partners and vendor negotiations that best supports our goals.
- Monitor the health of your business to insure that you and use relationships to fill gaps in the product assortment.
- Lead long term assortment planning using market data and historical information that supports the strategy for your business. Maintain an understanding of market trends and customer behavior.
- Must love all things beauty!
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 7- 8 years' experience in a Retail Buying environment or equivalent position.
- Leadership: Ability to effectively lead, direct and develop others. Must have led a buying team.
- Superior negotiation and persuasion skills to influence.
- Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
