Assistant Teacher

Tiny Tech Learning Lab is an Early Education Program located at 5951 Rising Sun Avenue Philadelphia PA is looking for classroom assistant teachers to join our team. We are a 4 Keystone Star facility, and our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, engaged, and is committed to childcare and to their professional development.

Responsibilities

· Maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.

· Build relationships with students through positive interactions that promote social, emotional and cognitive development.

· Writing Child Observations

· Recognize, observe and evaluate children's development and implement strategies to enhance child's development through intentional teaching.

· Attending to children's daily needs including supervision of toileting/diapering, mealtimes, indoor/outdoor play times, and nap time supervision.

· Provide an engaging classroom that allows children to explore through experimentation.

· Follow curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices that help each child reach his/her full potential in all areas of development.

· Always supervise and interact with children.

· Know all the health and emergency policies of the program and implement them if necessary.

· Help with general housekeeping tasks.

· Always maintain a professional attitude.

· Maintain appropriate communication with staff, children, and families.

· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ year experience in a licensed Early Education Program
• Health Assessment with TB test (within 12 months)
• PA Child Abuse, PA State Criminal history, FBI fingerprint and NSOR clearances
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• CDA preferred
