Environmental process design engineer

We have an immediate opportunity for a hybrid, full-time, ambitious Engineer in our Pittsburgh, PA office. Candidates must have a B.S. in environmental, chemical, or civil engineering, chemistry, or other related field and at least 5 years of design experience, with a focus on groundwater treatment, process engineering, and site remediation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage design projects involving groundwater treatment for site remediation, process design, hydraulic analysis, and equipment, piping, and instrumentation selection and layout;
 - Provide technical assistance for the operations, optimization, and troubleshooting of existing groundwater treatment facilities;
 - Coordinate PFAS investigation and treatment, and have familiarity with PFAS sampling and regulations;
 - Liaise with State and Federal agencies, and the preparation of permit applications;
 - Provide technical oversight, reporting, and occasional management of contractors for quality assurance;
 - Complete project planning and reporting activities; and,
 - Take an active role in business development activities.
 
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience as a process engineer and a project manager, and will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum B.S. degree (environmental or chemical engineering, or related field) with 5+ years of professional experience related to water treatment and process engineering;
 - Experience with groundwater treatment processes, piping and instrumentation diagrams, hydraulic analysis, and detailed design for treatment facilities, including equipment selection and layout;
 - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and teamwork spirit;
 - Superior problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
 - Experience conducting work under federal and state regulatory programs;
 - OSHA 40-hour training preferred, and;
 - Valid driver’s license.
