About the role:
At Eriez, employees are the catalysts for our success! Currently, we are looking for a Welder to work in our second shift team. The Welder at our Asbury Road facility will be responsible for putting together component parts or pieces adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. This position ensures customer satisfaction by providing safe, reliable operation of Eriez equipment that is intended to protect our customers and their customers. This person will report to the 2nd Shift Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job
- Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead
- Set machine for welding (i.e. wire feed, amperage, etc.)
- Prepares, assembles, fit and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded
- Perform sanitary welding tasks efficiently
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
- Operate overhead cranes, clamping devices, forklifts
- Operate plasma cutter and carbon arc. Able to operate tools including but not limited to hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc.
- Proficient in all T.I.G. welding procedures
Requirements
- Have a welding tech degree/certificate or 2+ years of applicable welding experience - may consider if degree in process
- AWS D.1.1 Certification preferred
- Visually identify stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel and other materials
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use basic shop math including decimals and fractions
- Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair
- High school diploma is preferred
- Have basic computer usage knowledge

Hourly pay Range: $23.23/hr. to $25.55/hr. (commensurate with experience) + 6% second shift differential premium
