TheEHS and Facilities Manageris responsible for leading both the Environmental Health Safety (EHS) and Facilities functions to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace. This role develops, implements, and maintains EHS programs that align with federal, state, and local regulations, while fostering a culture of safety and sustainability across the organization. In addition to EHS leadership, the role oversees Facilities Management, including leadership of the Facilities Maintenance team, management of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and optimization of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to support manufacturing and business operations. The EHS / Facilities Manager also leads capital equipment planning and coordinates facility-related projects, renovations, and upgrades. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Environmental Health Safety (EHS): Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 standards. Manage relationships with regulatory agencies; ensure timely inspections, reporting, and permit renewals. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; recommend and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate and accessible Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintain EHS records, permits, and compliance documentation. Oversee waste management, recycling, chemical storage, and sustainability initiatives. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Lead and coordinate Safety Committee activities in collaboration with the Leadership Team, delivering effective communications and training on EHS topics to foster a proactive and engaged safety culture. Stay current with EHS regulations and industry best practices; recommend updates to policies and procedures. Monitor and report key EHS performance metrics (e.g., recordable injuries, lost workdays) to leadership. Maintain and update written compliance plans, including Emergency Response, Stormwater Pollution Prevention, and Spill Prevention Plans. Partner with Quality Assurance to develop and revise safety audit checklists and controlled documents. Oversee the ergonomic program and support industrial hygiene evaluations. Conduct weekly inspections of hazardous material storage and handling areas. Facilities Management: Lead the Facilities team and oversee daily operations to includepreventive/corrective maintenance programs, management of contractor and vendor services and oversee facility projects. Manage relationships with facilities and maintenance vendors and contractors, ensuring quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness Manage, implement and communicate emergency response plans to ensure readiness and regulatory compliance Stay current on facility innovations and best practices; recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and sustainability. *Other duties as required in support of the department and the company* SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES Supervisory responsibilities involve overseeing and managing a team to ensure adequate performance and job satisfaction and contribute to individuals career goals. EDUCATION Bachelors degree in Occupational Health Safety, Environmental Science, Facilities Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in EHS management preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. JOB SKILLS: Demonstrated ability to Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with diverse audiences including operators, engineers, and leadership. Proven experience in developing and delivering safety-related technical training, SOPs, and compliance programs. Experience overseeing and improving ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 programs is highly desirable. Proven ability to apply and integrate EHS management systems with ISO 9001-based quality management systems. Extensive knowledge of U.S. regulatory policies and requirements, including OSHA, EPA, DEP, and RCRA. Skilled in hazard identification, risk analysis, and implementation of control programs. Experience in developing waste minimization plans and sustainability initiatives. Proficient in using technology and specialized equipment for environmental inspections and assessments. Ability to work effectively with regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractor personnel. Proficient in using technology and specialized equipment for conducting environmental inspections and assessments. Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS software applications. Strong leadership and mentoring skills; experience managing contractors, vendors, and facility projects. Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to participate in continuous improvement initiatives and 5S-related teams. Must be available to support multi-shift operations and respond to unforeseen conditions, circumstances, or events (may include evenings, weekends or holidays). Experience participating in continuous improvement initiatives and 5S-related teams. PHYSICAL DEMANDS As part of their job duties, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day while frequently using their hands to handle objects and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to reach, stretch, push, pull, crouch, stoop, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. This role requires specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
