The Position
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team. They will provide comprehensive support to the department across several disciplines centered around HR operations, employee development, and performance management. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Director of Human Resources and is expected to work out of our Philadelphia office . The standard schedule is 38 hours per week, with hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Fridays, with flexibility to work a hybrid-remote schedule after 90 days of successful employment in good-standing with the firm.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the HR team to complete departmental improvement projects, quarterly goals, and support people-focused initiatives.
- Interpret, assist, and advise employees and managers on updated firm procedures and policies.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries in a timely manner regarding HR processes, procedures, and policy interpretations with clarity and professionalism.
- Maintain firmwide performance review processes including HRIS management, providing guidance for and communication with respective managers, completion accuracy and timeliness, and status upkeep and reporting.
- Provide guidance for managers and employees in navigating the performance review process and corrective action plans for continued development.
- Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals.
- Assist in providing administrative support for the HR Department, including but not limited to document filing, updating employee records, preparing correspondence, forms, reports, and coordinating necessary meetings.
- Manage internal reporting requests from various departments; collect, filter, and deliver accurate and timely data.
- Support internal and external HR audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
- Provide timely information and/or education for all levels of the company on HR related processes, procedures, and concerns.
- Learn and effectively utilize firm and HR technologies, including the Paycom HRIS, to support day-to-day department operations and reporting needs.
- Maintain and update confidential employee records in HRIS and ensure accuracy of employee data and documentation.
- Maintain compliance with multi-state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Perform various administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements

- Excellent communication and customer service skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to consistently exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to handle employee relations discussions with discretion and nuance.
- Ability to be organized, accurate and thorough with strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to learn and take initiative to complete a project with pride and precision.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and Constant Contact strongly preferred.
- Experience with HRIS, such as Paycom, strongly preferred.
