Commercial Construction Project Manager
Job Description
Growing construction company seeking to hire a self-driven Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager is responsible for the management and support of the construction projects to which they are assigned to be responsible. Financial Management, Administrative Duties, Support of Field Personnel, Monitoring of Schedule, and Documenting of Construction Progress are all important elements of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Work as an integral part of a construction team which typically consists of an Executive, Estimator, Project Manager, Project Administrator, and Project Accountant.
- Proficiency in the Design-Build Process
- Defining scope of work, estimating and budgeting
- Work closely with Project Superintendent to ensure the field is coordinated with the development of the construction plan and that schedule, cost and quality expectations are met.
- Collection, review, approval, cataloging and tracking of Subcontractor and Vendor Invoices.
- Development, organization, understanding, monitoring, and revision of project drawings.
- Coordination of documentation between the architect, engineers, owner and the project delivery team (including subcontractors)
- Conducting meetings over the course of the construction project including turnover meetings, subcontractor and owner meetings, safety meetings, etc.
- Compiling information for and completing permit applications.
- Compiling information related to inspections and testing.
- Developing and understanding contracts with owners and subcontractors/vendors.
- Generating and maintaining project schedule.
- Reviewing and submitting monthly billing.
- Review of on-site issues and solutions.
- Monthly, on-site review of the project in its entirety.
- Completion and review of project closeout documents and meeting materials.
Experience and Skills:
- Commercial Construction Project Manager: 5+ years (Required)
- Strong emphasis on Design-Build (Required)
- Ability to manage projects ranging from 1M – 20M+
- Demonstrated leadership abilities along with an open and willing attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written. Establishes collaborative relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders.
- Excellent technical skills, proficient in reading, understanding, and applying blueprints and job specifications as well as safety knowledge and skills.
- Proficient computer and technology skills with experience using Microsoft Office, Procore, Microsoft Project and Bluebeam.
Work Location:
Primarily serving the South-Central PA market with flexibility to travel to surrounding states as necessary. (NJ, NY, MD, VA, etc.)
