Accounting Manager

Join the serene setting and elite team of a private country club known for its excellence in service and member experience. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to manage accounting operations to include the daily processing of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions.

This position reports directly to the Club Controller and works collaboratively with department leaders to support the club’s financial health and strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and membership.
• Protect club operations by keeping sensitive financial and member information confidential.
• Post member AR payments including monthly ACH & credit card autopayments.
• Process weekly check runs and ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.
• Work with membership director to accurately process new members, downgrades, upgrades, and resignations.
• Assist the Controller in preparing and generating monthly member statements.
• Provide prompt and courteous assistance to members in answering inquiries and correcting member statements when charging errors are made.
• Maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with club policies and accounting standards.
• Assist Controller with various month end duties, special projects and year-end audits.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience (private club or hospitality experience preferred).
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Northstar, Jonas, or similar.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
