Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)to lead operations for our Mail Order / Community Retail Pharmacy based in Easton, PA. This leadership role will oversee a current team of 6–8 pharmacy professionals, with anticipated growth to 20–25 team members within the next year.
This is a unique opportunity to step into a strategic leadership position responsible for regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and multi-state licensure management across all 50 states.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
  • Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for Pennsylvania and multiple non-resident pharmacy licenses.
  • Provide direct oversight and leadership to a team of pharmacists, technicians, and support staff (currently 6–8; scaling to 20–25).
  • Develop staffing plans and infrastructure to support projected company growth.
  • Ensure workflow efficiency, quality control, and high standards of patient care.
  • Foster a collaborative, compliant, and performance-driven culture.
Compliance & Multi-State Licensure
  • Maintain PIC designation and ensure compliance in Pennsylvania and the following states:
    AL, AR, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, WV.
  • Ensure adherence to all state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and Board of Pharmacy requirements.
  • Oversee audits, inspections, documentation, and policy implementation.
  • Obtain and maintain additional state licenses as needed (licensure support provided).
Clinical & Dispensing Oversight
  • Ensure accurate and compliant dispensing of medications.
  • Provide counseling and clinical oversight to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor medication therapy management and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all pharmacy operations.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited program.
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Eligible and willing to obtain/maintain multi-state licensure.
  • Minimum 3–5+ years of pharmacy experience (retail, mail order, or specialty preferred).
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • No disciplinary history on any pharmacy licenses.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage growth, scale operations, and adapt to evolving priorities.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary $150,000 (negotiable with experience).
  • All licenses paid for with additional bonuses
  • Performance-based bonus structure + bonuses for getting licensed in each state
  • Monday–Friday schedule (no nights, weekends, or major holidays).
  • 3 weeks of PTO annually.
