Job Title: Service Mechanic

Job Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for conducting, logging and scheduling regular maintenance on vehicles, machinery, tools and systems.
• Meet with employees to better understand their concerns and identify any issues they are having with their vehicles.
• Examine machinery and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
• Provide preventive maintenance and repairs to avoid costly downtime
• Provide emergency roadside maintenance or repairs & or co-ordinate tow services.
• Perform state mandated inspections on all vehicles, trailers and equipment.
• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine both diesel and gasoline, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, hydraulics, etc.
• Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users.
• Perform vehicle assessments and alert employees to issues that will prohibit their vehicles from passing inspection or cause unnecessary downtime.
• Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
• Adhere to company work and safety policies.
• Work as part of an overall team with your co-workers to help achieve common goals and objectives of the company as well as helping to achieve your own personal goals.

Provide Fast, Friendly, and Fun service with co-workers, management, and vendors to ensure the highest quality of work and performance providing peace of mind and reliability to the fleet

Communicate through Senior leadership, Purchasing and accounting to provide timely updates on repairs, needs, or services that you need for success

Manage your workflow and schedule to handle ensure on time and delivery of services and repairs

Experience needed to win

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 2-5 years performing vehicle or machine maintenance and repair

Skills Needed to Win

• Experience with Diesels
• ASE certifications are ideal
• Any Ford Motor Co. certifications or specialties preferred
• PA state inspection and emissions licenses or willingness to obtain these
• Commercial Driver's License or willingness to obtain these
• Strong automotive and mechanical background
• Strong teamwork skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely lift up to 100lbs
• Able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekend hours if needed
• Able to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
