Maintenance Technician
The Building Maintenance Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and appearance of office buildings, apartments, and grounds. This position involves both training and hands-on work across various maintenance disciplines, including general maintenance, plumbing, painting, carpentry, HVAC support, and electrical tasks. The role requires participation in an on-call rotation, ensuring prompt response to maintenance needs.
Responsibilities- Perform general building repairs, apartment turns, painting, and cleaning with a focus on enjoying painting tasks.
- Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, drains, and disposals.
- Replace bulbs, fixtures, ballasts, and exit lights throughout the buildings.
- Assist with HVAC, boiler, and building system checks; report any issues to the supervisor.
- Support HVAC maintenance tasks including filter changes, belt checks, coil cleaning, and thermostat adjustments.
- Conduct minor carpentry work, wall and ceiling repairs, and interior painting.
- Monitor work orders and complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and coworkers.
- Travel between properties in Lancaster as needed, with mileage reimbursement provided.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Experience in mechanical repair and preventive maintenance.
- Skills in HVAC support and painting.
- Ability to perform drywall patching.
- Enjoyment in performing painting tasks.
- Capability to maintain professional communication.
- Flexibility to travel between properties.

Work EnvironmentThis position involves direct placement with a Monday-Friday schedule starting at 7 am, plus participation in an on-call rotation. The role requires travel between residential and commercial properties in Lancaster, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.
