Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

This position requires working entirely outdoors in a lumber yard, similar to environments for construction workers, roofers, or landscapers. Candidates must be comfortable operating in various weather conditions, including hot summers, cold winters, rain, and snow. Proper attire for all weather conditions is necessary, as the role includes tasks such as shoveling and plowing the yard. Candidates with forklift experience in these fields would be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down propane forklift.
• Pick materials such as wood flooring, wood decking materials, and some PVC trimming.
• Work off of a pick sheet to pick parts and prepare loads on a flatbed truck.
• Move materials, including wood decking up to 20 feet long.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating sit-down forklifts.
• Experience in material handling, picking, and loading.
• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to work in a lumber yard environment.
• Capability to handle outdoor working conditions in all weather.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yorkana, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.90 - $20.90/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Yorkana,PA.
