Human Resource Generalist Philadelphia

Description
We are looking for a HR Generalist to be based at our Philadelphia locations. This position will report to the HR Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains an active and documented recruitment strategy and executable recruitment plan: screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings.
- Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
- Use HR software to manage payroll and employee benefits, including bonuses, leaves, and conduct absences administration
- Support employees with efficient problem-solving when any human resources issues arise
- Recommend and develop employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relations
- Writes and updates s as needed with management approval
- Generates job postings using various recruitment channels (social media, websites, job boards, radio ads, newspaper ads, etc.)
- Extends employment offers, secures employment references, ensures, and schedules pre-employment physical/drug screens
- Maintains employee referral, tuition reimbursement, and professional development programs
- Completes weekly reports on all recruitment, retention and employment activity; completes monthly and quarterly rollup staffing reports for management with turnover metrics
- Conducts exit and stay interviews .s.
- Maintains employee confidence by keeping human resource information confidential
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE
1. Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.2. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
3. Knowledge of Applicant Tracking System set up and execution

3. Active listening by giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.4. ABILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field from accredited institution.
- Two years of experience as a HR Generalist
- Maintain a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
- Experience with HRIS software
- Preferred but not required SHRM certified professional credential
- Preferred: experience in healthcare
WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands:

1. Able to use hands and fingers to operate common office equipment- PCs, faxes, telephones, etc. and reach with hands working with files

1. Verbal aggression of residents.2. Exposure to household cleaning products.3. Slight risk of contact with blood-borne pathogens.
