Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Cartridge Technician to join our production team. This role is essential in building and rebuilding cartridges for machine-only customers, collaborating with the Skid production team, and assisting the Test Pad team with installations and setups for engineering testing. The technician will work with delicate, highly machined parts and must be able to operate under tight tolerances. This position is onsite from day one.
Job Description
- Build and rebuild cartridges to meet precise engineering specifications and customer needs.
- Work closely with the Skid production team and assist the Test Pad team with installations and setups for engineering tests.
- Ensure work areas and equipment are kept organized, clean, and compliant with 5S standards.
- Perform tasks with precision and accuracy, maintaining high quality standards and low fall-out rates.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as part of the production process.
- Operate forklifts to transport materials and components as needed (certification preferred).
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of basic tools, metal fabrication, and machining.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to build products within tight specifications.
- Knowledge of quality standards and ISO requirements to ensure compliance.
- Excellent manual dexterity for working with small, precise components.
- Familiarity with emailing, record keeping, inventory management, ordering, and form filing.
- High mechanical aptitude and experience with basic tools.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication and machining techniques.
- Ability to work under tight tolerances while maintaining high-quality output.
- Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and industry standards, including ISO requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification is highly recommended.
Education
- High School Diploma required
- Previous experience in mechanical or technology-based jobs is a plus, especially in a production or manufacturing environment.
Additional Requirements
- Shift : M-F 6am - 2:30pm PST
- Associate Degree preferred.
