The Director of Commercial Growth Strategy is a critical member of the Commercial organization responsible for shaping Radial's future growth trajectory. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role combines strategic analysis, market insight, portfolio planning, and cross-functional advisory support to increase Radial's commercial pipeline, diversify target markets, and elevate the intrinsic value of pipeline opportunities. Building on a strong analytical and client-growth foundation, this role brings structure, clarity, and focus to the commercial organization-ensuring Radial pursues the right markets, targets the right clients, and deploys its resources where they will have maximum long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Pipeline Growth Strategy:

· Develop Radial's portfolio diversification strategy, including defining the metrics, targets, and reporting that determine "what good looks like" for a balanced, future-ready portfolio.

· Maintain the source of truth for current-state and forward-looking diversification, identifying concentration risks, opportunity gaps, and priority areas.

· Provide regular insights and recommendations to Sales, Business Development, Account Management, Marketing, and Executive Leadership on portfolio shifts needed to meet strategic growth goals.

Market & Vertical Growth Insight Development:

· Lead the identification of high-potential industries, verticals, and retail segments for expansion, synthesizing inputs across Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product.

· Build compelling narratives that justify why Radial should pursue specific segments and how these choices align with Radial's long-term strategy.

· Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure market insights directly inform pipeline development and lead-generation priorities.

Demand Signal & ICP Enablement:

· Translate portfolio and market insights into actionable pipeline opportunities-supporting Sales, BD, and Marketing in targeting the right clients with the right messages.

· Evolve Radial's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) definitions and lay the foundation for a demand-signal control tower that ties ICP criteria to real market triggers.

· Ensure commercial teams have clarity and confidence in where and why they should focus their efforts.

Strategic Programs & Commercial Transformation:

· Lead strategic commercial initiatives, such as piloting new tools, analytics platforms, and processes that increase pipeline conversion and sales efficiency

· Collaborate directly with the CCO on commercial transformation initiatives related to:

o growing the pipeline;

o increasing intrinsic pipeline value; and

o building organizational confidence in Radial's commercial engine.

· Orchestrate contributions from multiple stakeholders and synthesize unified outputs that guide decision-making.

Commercial Operating Cadence (QBRs, Portfolio Reviews, Pipeline Health):

· Lead the commercial insights track for QBRs across all client segments (enterprise, core, and emerging), ensuring growth opportunities, concentration risks, and cross-sell paths are identified and prioritized in line with the portfolio diversification strategy.

· Standardize artifacts (opportunity matrix, ICP + demand-signal inputs, diversification scorecard) and maintain the source of truth that QBRs and monthly/quarterly reviews consume.

· Convert QBR findings into actionable pipeline updates with Sales, BD, AM, and Marketing; track impact on pipeline value and mix.

Targeted Strategic Advisory (Selective Emerging & High-Potential Clients):

· Serve as a strategic advisor for selected emerging/high-potential clients to shape growth pathways and deepen wallet share, in partnership with AM and Sales leaders.

· Build client-specific playbooks and recommendations separate from the portfolio-wide operating cadence.

Insight Integration Across Product, Marketing, Sales & AM:

· Partner with Product to position new or evolving solution offerings (e.g., recommerce, returns, inventory solutions) based on market dynamics and client needs.

· Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to ensure Radial's external messaging supports the targeted growth strategy.

· Integrate insights into playbooks, POV frameworks, and opportunity matrices.

Qualifications:

· 10+ years of experience in a combination of commercial strategy, logistics, transportation, supply chain, client strategy, or related fields.

· Proven analytical capability, with experience in market research, client growth modeling, or portfolio analysis.

· Experience in 3PL or supply-chain-intensive industries preferred.

· Strong communication and executive-ready presentation skills; able to influence across functions.

· Proven ability to take vision statements to execution, defining roadmaps and requirements and engaging various stakeholders along the journey

· Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), BI/analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI), and Excel.

· Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; MBA a plus.

Travel:

· This position is remote.

· Regional travel is required for this role (approximately 20%) by land and/or air
