Management coordinator

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Supervisor of Scientific Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Spring House, PA

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hourly Range: $21.00 - $30.00

What we’re looking for

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred.

• 1–2 years of laboratory experience is highly desirable; undergraduate lab work will be considered.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.

• Familiarity with ordering systems, such as SAP and Inventory Manager, is a plus.

• Experience with laboratory equipment, such as balances and pH meters, is a plus.

• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external clients.

• Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions, including drafting, is advantageous.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain high attention to detail.

• Commitment to following site protocols, safety policies, and quality standards.

Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

• Monitor solvent levels and place orders using Inventory Manager and SAP.

• Prepare barcodes for incoming solvent orders.

• Break down pallets and restock inventory.

• Receive shipments, unbox, barcode, and label solvents.

• Apply peroxide former stickers to designated bottles.

• Store solvents in cabinets in accordance with compliance standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized solvent storage area.

• Conduct scan runs in labs to assess solvent needs.

• Prep delivery carts and restock solvents from the central stockroom to lab locations.

• Perform second delivery runs if needed.

• Collect empty solvent bottles from labs.

• Scan and dispose of bottles in designated disposal areas.

• Conduct second disposal runs as necessary.
