Salary: $18.50 an hour

Position: PRN Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Location: Residential Group Home Setting
Employment Type: PRN (As-Needed)

Position Summary:
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in a residential group home setting, you will provide essential support to adults (ages 18 and older) with intellectual disabilities or mental health diagnoses. Your role will involve assisting individuals with daily living tasks that many take for granted, including meal preparation, housekeeping, community integration, and participation in group activities.

Availability Requirement:
This is a PRN (as-needed) position. Open shifts will be offered as they become available. Candidates must maintain open availability, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on assistance and training in all areas of daily living
• Understand and support individuals with various intellectual and mental health diagnoses
• Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
• Promote good hygiene and overall health of individuals
• Ensure safety at home and in the community
• Maintain open communication with team members and supervisors
• Support individuals in cooking, cleaning, and maintaining their home
• Administer and monitor medications in accordance with training and guidelines
• Comply with all Waiver program requirements
• Complete all required trainings in a timely manner
• Adhere to all policies related to Incident Management, Risk Management, and Quality Assurance

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health diagnoses, or other cognitive conditions
  OR
• Associate degree in a human services-related field (experience with population preferred)
• Valid driver's license required
