Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ growth through contract occupational therapy opportunities in the West Chester, PA area. This school-based position offers unique flexibility and the chance to collaborate within diverse educational settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric OT preferred
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers
- Solid understanding of IEP documentation and implementation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students with varied needs, including both early intervention (full-time, 5 days/week, community-based) and school-age students in emotional support programs (3 days/week at Aston Ed Center)
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and other clinicians to help integrate therapy goals into the daily school routine
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain clear, compliant documentation
- Support families and caregivers with strategies for home carryover
