Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced STAFF ENGINEER, reporting to the Sr. Director, SWE with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in software development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining full stack applications and APIs using public cloud technologies and modern messaging tools such as MQ/PubSub. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the design and development of scalable and robust fullstack applications and APIs.
· Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
· Utilize public cloud technologies (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) to architect and deploy applications.
· Implement modern messaging tools like MQ/PubSub to facilitate efficient communication between microservices and components.
· Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
· Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
· Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the stack, ensuring high reliability and performance.
· Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
· Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture by sharing knowledge and expertise with team members.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on full stack development.
· Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
· Experience building and deploying applications using public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
· Strong understanding of modern messaging tools like MQ/PubSub and experience integrating them into applications.
· Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across the stack.
· Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.
The candidate for this role should reside in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
· Experience with serverless computing technologies (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
· Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
· Certification in cloud technologies (AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Developer).
· Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible to work in the US permanently.
