Job Details:

• Pennsylvania or compact state license required at time of submission
• Manager may consider flexible scheduling: (2) 8-hour shifts 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM and (2) 12-hour shifts 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Scrub and circulate experience preferred
• May float to GI unit or Center One Surgery Center
• 6-week schedule requirements: Work (2) weekend nights (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing)
• Holiday call requirements: (1) summer and (1) winter (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing)
• Holiday work requirements: (1) summer and (1) winter holiday (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing)
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Level I Trauma, liver and kidney experience required
• Must have trauma certification and at least 2-3 years of Level 1 Trauma experience
• BSN degree required
• Charting system: Cerner
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience required
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT
• Skills include general OR, trauma, scrub cardiovascular surgery, neurology surgery, transplant surgery, vascular surgery, and circulating
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Must complete labs within 48 hours of signing
• PA fingerprints required

This major medical center operates a comprehensive surgical department with 14 operating rooms and handles all types of surgical procedures. The facility specializes in Level I trauma care and offers advanced surgical services including cardiovascular, neurology, transplant, and vascular surgeries. The hospital provides full interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support to ensure comprehensive patient care.
