I & C TECHNICIAN
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as an I&C Technician, Controls Technician, or similar in an engineering environment
- Hands-on experience with:
- Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix)
- FactoryTalk View (SE/ME)
- PanelView HMIs
- VFDs
- Strong instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Schematics
- P&IDs
- Ladder Logic
- Electrical diagrams
Key Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot:
- Flow meters
- Pressure transmitters
- Temperature sensors
- Load cells
- pH meters
- Level switches
- Perform loop checks, signal verification, and corrective actions
- Maintain and update:
- Instrument indexes
- I/O documentation
- Wiring diagrams
- P&IDs
Automation & Rockwell Systems
- Troubleshoot and support Rockwell PLC systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot FactoryTalk View and PanelView HMIs
- Monitor PLC/HMI performance and assist with:
- Minor programming changes
- Version control
- Backups (following MOC procedures)
- Support VFDs, servo drives, and motor controls
Production Equipment Support
- Diagnose downtime involving controls, sensors, and automation systems
- Support processing, batching, packaging, and material handling equipment
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations to reduce downtime
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
Continuous Improvement
- Support automation upgrades and process optimization projects
- Assist with integration of new equipment
- Recommend improvements for reliability, safety, and data visibility
