Solutions Architect
Under limited guidance, work at the business unit level developing the end-to-end solution architecture for significant initiatives in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders.
Essential Functions
- Exposes current state architecture and identifies options for future state architecture.
- Works closely with business and IT stakeholders creating solutions that balance competing interests and concerns.
- Develops plans for and facilitates the migration from current to selected future state by providing technical leadership to multiple initiatives.
- Mentor those in less senior positions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information Systems, business and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
General knowledge of hardware, software, and network.

Job Responsibilities:
Architect & Design High‑Quality Solutions
- Translate business needs into end‑to‑end solution designs that are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Develop application, data, and integration architectures , ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Create architectural diagrams, models, and documentation to support clear technical direction.
- Champion architecture governance , ensuring consistency and quality across technical designs.
- Contribute to architectural frameworks, pattern libraries, and technology standards.
Guide Delivery Teams
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership to SAFe Agile development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure solutions are implemented according to architectural principles and best practices.
- Support troubleshooting, risk mitigation, and design adjustments when needed.
Collaborate Across the Organization
- Work closely with business partners, project managers, developers, and vendors to ensure solution alignment and seamless delivery.
- Engage with enterprise architecture teams to ensure feasibility of features created during the solution phase of projects.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences in a clear, concise way.
- Identify strategic and tactical solutions and be able to influence and negotiate with colleagues and business partners.
Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:
Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of solution and enterprise architecture principles .
- Strong experience with modern application design:
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- API‑first and microservices architecture
- Integration patterns and middleware
- Data modeling and database technologies
- Spring Framework, NoSQL
- Linux skill-set
- Experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar modeling tool
- Ability to design secure, scalable, and resilient solutions for large scale distributed systems with high volume and low latency
- Experience modernizing legacy systems
- Ensure solutions are implemented according to architectural principles and best practices.
- Support troubleshooting, risk mitigation, and design adjustments when needed.

Pay Transparency:
Pay: Pittsburg range ($8,896.99/mo - $15,124.88/mo), New Berlin range ($8,896.99/mo - $15,124.88/mo)
Additional Details: This hybrid position will be domiciled in New Berlin, WI or Pittsburgh, PA., reporting to Mgr Eric Gruetzmacher. Compensation Grade: FEC_E28.
