Farmers Market Manager
- Pull packed product per the production team's prep list and verify counts against the Tuesday order sheet
- Load product, tent, tables, display fixtures, signage, cash box, payment hardware, and supplies into the company vehicle
- Confirm temperature-sensitive items are properly packed
- Communicate any product shortages or substitutions before leaving the bakery *At Market*
- Drive company vehicle to Rittenhouse, park, unload, and set up the full booth (tent, tables, displays, signage, payment station) within the market's setup window
- Arrange and merchandise product to our visual standard, including pricing, labels, allergen information, and any seasonal callouts
- Open the booth on time and run sales solo throughout the day
- Process transactions via Square (cash, card, mobile pay), handle tips, and reconcile cash drawer at close
- Engage with customers warmly and confidently; answer questions about ingredients, sourcing, allergens, and the bakery itself
- Track sellouts, slow movers, and customer feedback in real time, and report back to the team
- Maintain product integrity throughout the shift: proper rotation, temperature, presentation, and handling
- Monitor inventory and pace sales to avoid early sellouts where possible *Post-Market*
- Break down the booth, pack the vehicle, and return everything to the bakery
- Restock and clean equipment, return unsold product per our protocols
- Submit end-of-day sales and tips report
- Flag any issues with vehicle, equipment, or supplies for follow-up *Ongoing*
- Partner with the production team on weekly forecasting based on historical sales and seasonality
- Track and report market trends, new customer questions, and competitive notes from other vendors
- Represent Second Daughter professionally to market organizers, fellow vendors, and the public
- Maintain a clean, organized, and on-brand booth that reflects the quality of our product **Who you are**

- Comfortable working independently, troubleshooting on the fly, and making good calls without a manager on site
- Calm under pressure, especially during peak rushes **Requirements**
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (company vehicle provided)
- Comfortable driving a cargo van or similar vehicle in city traffic
- Able to lift 50 lbs comfortably and repeatedly throughout the shift
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and carry for the full 8.5-hour shift in variable weather
- Available every Tuesday, year-round
- Prior farmers market, retail, or hospitality experience preferred
