The Education Department at Waynesburg University invites applications for a part-time University Supervisor to support high-quality clinical experiences for teacher candidates in partnership with local school districts. Valid Pennsylvania Teacher Certification and all required Pennsylvania school district clearances required. Demonstrated expertise in effective instructional practices and k–12 student learning. This position is integral to the continuous improvement of educator preparation and the development of competent, reflective practitioners. The University Supervisor serves as a liaison between the University and k–12 partners, providing standards-based observation, coaching, and evaluation aligned with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) competencies and expectations for clinical practice. Responsibilities include: conduct formal and informal observations of teacher candidates during clinical practice/student teaching; evaluate candidate performance using PDE-aligned competencies and program assessment instruments; provide timely, actionable, and evidence-based feedback to support candidate growth; facilitate reflective practice through coaching conversations and goal setting; collaborate with cooperating teachers and school partners to ensure high-quality clinical experiences This part-time, flexible position is ideal for experienced educators committed to advancing educator preparation through strong school-university partnerships and data-informed practice.
