Distribution assistant supervisor
Vitalant is seeking a Distribution Assistant Supervisor dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as an Assistant Supervisor is vital. You will contribute to Vitalant’s life-saving mission by receiving and preparing orders for blood and blood products, ensuring timely delivery to our customers. You will assist in supervising Distribution employees and overseeing shift operations.
What to Expect
Schedule: 5 days a week, rotating weekends. Evening Shift 2:30pm-11pm (can be a little flexible with the start time)

As a Distribution Assistant Supervisor, you’ll get to:
- Support the achievement of departmental and individual goals, effective communication, and continuous process improvements.
- Oversee workflow coordination, including tasks assignments, order prioritization, and logistics.
- Select appropriate blood components for order accuracy, considering product type, aging, and requested criteria. Conduct visual inspection of products before packing them in designated storage containers.
- Communicate order fulfillments with customers, escalating customer concerns to leadership or medical representatives as appropriate.
- Review and maintain accurate hospital service records
- Maintain hospital service equipment and preventive maintenance and monitor shipments.
- High School degree or GED required
- Valid in state Driver license
- One year of Hospital Distribution Specialist experience or related healthcare experience required
- One year of team lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Able to lift 40lbs
