Position Overview:
- Providing intensive home-based family therapy to children, adolescents, and their families in an ethical and culturally competent manner. Clients are children/adolescents who are at risk of out-of-home placement (such as in-patient hospitalization, residential treatment, or foster care) due to emotional/behavioral struggles.
- Utilizing an Eco-systemic structural family therapy (ESFT) model which engages the entire family in the treatment process as well as integrative approaches.
- Attending ESFT trainings with eligibility for certification in ESFT (after 3 years)
- Responsible for keeping in contact with collaterals, providing case management, and providing community linkage.
- Providing crisis management and family support services
- Attending and participating in weekly team and group supervisions
- Completing and/or uploading all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner per assigned standards
- Must be able to work within a team and collaborate with others.
- Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the family and does require frequent evenings.
- Therapist must be willing to be on-call for emergency crisis situations on a rotating basis.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Travel to all geographic areas of Dauphin County is required.
- Ability to work in family homes, community and via telehealth
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Theology, or a related mental health service field; OR bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ experience working within the CASSP system program.
- Three clearances (Pennsylvania Childline Clearance, PA State Police Clearance, and FBI Background Check)
- Training in Mandated Child Abuse Reporting
- Candidates currently in master’s programs for counseling, social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, theology, or a related mental health service field are encouraged to apply.
