Receptionist

Position Overview

PITC Institute, a leading provider of Practical Nursing education, is seeking a professional and reliable Part-Time Evening Receptionist to join our team. The receptionist is the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors—helping to create a welcoming, supportive, and professional environment.

This role is ideal for an organized and approachable individual who thrives in a dynamic educational setting and can manage responsibilities with courtesy, efficiency, and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist students, faculty, visitors, and callers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Answer and route phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries as appropriate.
• Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.
• Maintain the reception area to ensure a clean, welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist with scheduling, appointment coordination, and basic student support needs.
• Support staff with clerical tasks as needed.
• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred (educational or healthcare setting a plus).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn school software quickly.
• Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Must be available for evening hours.
