Director of Operations

Position Summary:

The Director of Operations ensures that the systems, and resources of Free Fall Action Sports run with excellence and efficiency. This role oversees key operation functions including facilities, finance, shop management and park safety. They are the organizational backbone, freeing the programming and mission to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facility & Maintenance Oversight Ensure all equipment and physical spaces are maintained to a high standard, safe, and ready for use.

• Finance & Administration Oversee the budget, accounting, and payroll processes. Manage insurance, HR documentation, and overall compliance.

• Program Management Supervise the park’s shop & snack stand operations and events, aligning them with financial and relational goals.

• Leadership Development Partner with the current leadership staff to create pathways for youth and volunteers to grow in leadership and responsibility.

• Volunteer Engagement Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, potentially developing a lead volunteer role structure for deeper engagement.

• Communication Oversight Collaborate with the communications lead to ensure consistent branding and effective messaging.

• Admin Support Supervise administrative functions, including program coordination and office logistics.

• Staff Coordination Lead and support operations staff across departments, including HR processes and team management.

• Operations Collaboration Work closely with programing staff to ensure operational systems support program effectiveness

• Safety Oversee the emergency response plans for Free Fall including inspections, safety protocals and day of safety.

• Spiritual Integration Partner with the Executive Director as needed to ensure the spiritual mission of Free Fall is present and active in programming.

Qualifications

• Background in operations, facilities, or nonprofit administration.

• Experience with budgeting, HR systems, and vendor management.

• Excellent organizational and systems-thinking skills.

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams with professionalism and grace.

• Familiarity with action sports, youth-focused spaces, or ministry contexts a plus.

• Strong problem-solving, planning, and leadership abilities.

• Willingness to work evenings/weekends during peak programming times.

• A strong and vibrant faith.

Pay and Hours

● Competitive package plus 3% IRA match and health insurance stipend

● 40 hours a week including some evenings and weekends
