Seasonal 6-month Contract position with AstraZeneca

The position is located at 3001 Red Lion Road, Philadelphia, PA

3 Shifts available

- 1st: 0600-1430 (Mon-Fri) 5x8 hour shifts

- 2nd: 1400-2230 (Mon-Fri) 5x8 hour shifts (10% differential included in pay rate)

- 3rd: 9pm-7am (Mon-Thr) 4x10hrs (15% differential included in pay rate)

**Pay rates are based on past work history

Job Summary:
Assist Material Handlers in all aspects of receipt, handling, storage and documentation for raw materials, components, supplies and finished products as well as operate material handling equipment including fork trucks, pallet jacks, etc.

Role and Responsibilities

• Proactively engage in the Safety Culture of the company, Individuals that do/will not comply will be
immediately reprimanded and/or terminated.
• Assist Material Specialists on all aspects of receipt, handling, storage and documentation for raw
materials, components, supplies and finished products as well as operate material handling
equipment including fork trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
• Responsible for performing all activities per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and
maintain required technical training on SOPs and certifications (ie. cGMP, HAZMAT, Forklift
Training, etc.)
• Responsible for Warehouse and Loading Dock cleaning duties including but not limited to:
sweeping the warehouse and bulk storage, use of floor scrubber to clean the floors, general
cleaning and dusting of warehouse walls, door panels, etc. and transport trash to disposal areas
• This person will also be responsible for following the warehouse and Loading Dock cleaning SOP
and documenting cleaning in the warehouse and Loading Dock cleaning logs

Physical Demand:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit;
reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is
occasionally required to climb or balance
• The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds

Work Environment:
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical
parts; toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme cold including working in a -25C freezer.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/ or humid conditions; high, precarious places and
fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Skills and Experience
Essential
• Must have GMP Experience
• Shipping and Receiving experience
• Must have the ability to work shifts and overtime as required
• Must be able to meet the Physical Demand and be able to work in the Work Environment listed
Above

Candidate :
• Proactive, strong attention to detail, self motivated, self starter
Desirable
• Work experience in biologics/pharmaceutical manufacturing under cGMP
• Fork lift certified (or operated)
• SAP Experience (computer system for tracking

Education/Certification:
Fork Lift Certification

**In this role contractors must follow correct PPE guidelines outlined by AstraZeneca. This EXCLUDES: makeup, jewelry, nail polish/fake nails, and eyelash extensions.**

Vision Requirements: Must have 20/40 vision or greater, standard depth and color perception (cannot be color blind). Applicants can/should wear their prescription glasses for the exam which will be conducted onsite by the AZ nurse. Company Description
