Accounts payable

Responsibiltities:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy, proper approval, and compliance with company policies.
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure accuracy before payment.
• Enter and maintain accounts payable transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH transfers, wire payments, and other payment methods.
• Monitor accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolution of discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries from suppliers regarding payment status.
• Assist in month-end closing by ensuring all payables are properly recorded.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.
• Support audits by providing requested accounts payable documentation.
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve efficiency of accounts payable and payment processes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• 1--2 years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
