HOURS: 3:00pm to 10pm, Saturday and Sunday

COMPENSATION: $24.26 per hour

REPORTS TO: Assistant Manager

Position Summary:

The Desk Clerk maintains a constant physical presence at the community’s customer service desk while performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.

ESSENTIAL Duties & Responsibilities:

· Answers telephone, routes calls, takes messages and greets guests.

· Role involves high-volume, continuous face-to-face customer service engagement, requiring strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.

· Receives and logs resident service requests using work order system software.

· Immediately informs appropriate parties of emergencies and urgent request.

· Maintains apartment file keys and issues spares when authorized.

· Reserves Loading Dock, elevators, and community amenities.

· Receives and logs in mail/packages. Retrieves and logs out mail/packages as they are picked up.

· Lifts/moves items up to 50 lbs., or heavier with assistance of equipment

· Answer general questions resident, visitors and contractors.

· Maintains personal workspace, including Front Desk and Package Room.

· Maintains daily Shift Log of important requests, reservations, incidents and instructions.

· Maintains a neat, clean and professional appearance at all times.

· Other duties may be included.

Minimum Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Customer service excellence.

· Ability to write and effectively communicate with management, residents and contractors.

· Ability to work independently, and to work effectively as a member of a team.

· Computer literacy - required to perform basic tasks using work order system software.

· Physical ability to safely and effectively perform the required job duties.

Physical Requirements of the Position:

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to safely perform the essential duties of this job.

· Must have stamina, dexterity and the psychical strength to lift 50 lbs., and to move objects, and perform all required tasks.

· Must walk and stand for the majority of the workday.

· Must lift, carry, squat, stoop, reach above head and reach forward, twist, bend, grasp and make repetitive hand movements.
