Job DescriptionThe Human Resource Generalist in Berwick, PA will run the daily functions of the HR Department. This is a day-to-day, employee facing role responsible for recruiting, onboarding, employee relations including benefits, leaves of absence, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in shaping the work culture, promoting employee engagement, and driving talent development to support a thriving and productive manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the hiring process of hourly employees including job posting, prescreening, scheduling onsite interviews, new hire orientation and onboarding. Facilitating pre-employment screenings.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to; benefits, leaves of absence, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, recognition and morale.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate manager.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations. Providing coaching to supervisors when needed.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state and federal laws. Assisting with the implementation and training of all HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain all personnel files both physical copies and input in HRIS (ADP)
- Weekly and Monthly reporting and record keeping.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist preferrable in the fields of manufacturing or construction
- Experience in Leaves of Absence including FMLA, ADA reasonable accommodations and Short/Long Term Disability
- Proficient in HRIS systems, preferable ADP
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
The Salary Range for this position is $63,700 - $75,000 annual base salary + annual performance bonus. We also off the following benefits:
