The Senior Data Insight & Reporting Analyst is responsible for transforming complex data into client-facing insights and reports that drive business impact through actionable insights. This role requires strong expertise in SQL, advanced analytics, and data visualization tools, as well as a deep understanding of healthcare claims and operational data. A successful candidate will be able to analyze, interpret, and communicate data insights in a way that is meaningful for clients, guiding decision-making and enhancing business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
· Extract and manipulate data using SQL from internal data warehouses and other sources.
· Analyze complex healthcare datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
· Develop and design client-facing reports and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools to ensure information is clear, impactful, and visually compelling.
· Apply descriptive and summary statistics to enhance understanding of data trends and communicate relevant insights effectively.
· Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of all data reports, implementing quality checks and validation processes.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, interpret, and clarify complex reporting criteria and business requirements
· Present data insights and trends to clients and senior leadership in a clear, professional, and influential manner.
· Maintain a strong understanding of healthcare claims data, regulatory reporting, quality metrics, and trends to deliver relevant and impactful insights.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in analytics, healthcare, business or a related discipline; equivalent work experience may be considered.
· Minimum of five years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, SQL, and advanced analytics.
· Demonstrated experience in the healthcare industry, specifically with healthcare claims data and healthcare operational reporting.
· Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
· Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in descriptive, summary statistics, and data visualization.
· Proficiency in Tableau and/or Power BI to create effective and client-facing data visualizations.
· Comfortable with ambiguity with the ability to challenge traditional thinking to solve problems
· Ability to translate business language into technical requirements
· Ability to clean, wrangle, and transform large, complex data sources, using fit-for-purpose data analysis techniques to generate robust insights
· Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Access
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into clear and impactful narratives for clients.
· Experience in developing comprehensive client-friendly reports and dashboards
· Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and quality
· Confidence in presenting data, insights, and methodologies to internal teams to collaborate on report refinement.
Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.
