Utility Worker
Order Type : Temp The wash department is the area dedicated to cleaning and preparing parts before they are coated. This process ensures proper adhesion of the powder coating and prevents issues like corrosion. Wash booths or industrial pretreatment washers are commonly used in this department. Purpose of the Wash Department: Surface Preparation: Removes dirt, oil, grease, and other contaminants that can interfere with the powder coating process. Adhesion Enhancement: Ensures that the powder coating adheres properly to the part's surface, leading to a stronger, more durable finish. Corrosion Prevention: Helps prevent rust or other types of corrosion from developing on the part before and after the powder coating is applied. Quality Control: Helps ensure a consistent and high-quality finish by providing a clean and prepared surface for powder coating. Equipment Used: Wash Booths: Provide a controlled environment for manual spraying of cleaning and rinsing solutions. Industrial Pretreatment Washers: Automated systems that use various stages of cleaning, rinsing, and often include chemical pretreatment steps like phosphating.
