Wound Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
- Conduct patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations focused on wound care.
- Perform wound-related procedures, including debridement, dressing selection/application, and use of advanced wound care therapies.
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies related to wound care.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with supervising physician.
- Provide patient and caregiver education regarding wound care and prevention.
- Accurately document clinical encounters in the EMR in accordance with coding and compliance standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team conferences.
- Maintain professional development, certification, and continuing education requirements.
- Adhere to organizational policies, infection control standards, and HIPAA compliance.
- Current NP or PA license in [State] with prescriptive authority.
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).
- Wound care certification (CWCN, CWS, or equivalent) preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant clinical experience preferred (primary care, surgery, emergency, wound care).
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills.
