TITLE: High School Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would qualify
• High School diploma required
• Meet one of the highly qualified status requirements below:
  • Two years of post- secondary education coursework or
  • Highly Qualified Special Education Certificate through PDE or
  • Passing score on the Comprehensive Assessment of Paraprofessional Educators (CAPE) Test or
  • Possess the ability to obtain highly qualified status through educational opportunities provided within the timeline of the district.
• Prior experience working with students with disabilities
• Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks (use code 1KG6XN) within the last twelve (12) months
