Math-Focused Special Education Teacher (612) Squirrel Hill, PA Area

Soliant Education is seeking two skilled Special Education Teachers to teach math to students in grades 612 near Squirrel Hill, PA for the 20252026 school year . This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialized school focused entirely on academics for students with learning differences.

About the Role:

• Subjects Taught: General Math, Pre-Algebra, Personal Finance

• Caseload Type: Mix of instruction and case management

• Schedule: 7:45 AM3:15 PM, MondayFriday (35 hours/week)

• Rate: $40/hour

• Environment: Structured, academic-only special education school (no aggressive behaviors)

Primary Student Populations:

• Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders

• Students with Learning Disabilities

• All students placed through referrals from public school districts

Job Duties:

• Teach and support students in a special education setting

• Write, manage, and implement IEPs

• Utilize behavior plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• Create a supportive and structured classroom environment

Required Credentials:

• Pennsylvania Special Education Certification (Grades 612) required

• Middle or high school math teaching experience required

• Math Certification (612) preferred, but not mandatory

• Familiarity with student behavior supports a plus
