Payroll Associate

We are looking to hire a PAYROLL ASSOCIATE based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide data entry support that is required to update and maintain the integrity of the information in both the payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Reconcile Payroll reports.
- Make payments timely and accurately.
- Enter deduction arrears for any amounts due from employees.
- Responsible for payroll taxes and fringe reporting.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

- Friendly demeanor, professional and businesslike dress and attitude.
- Excellent written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals.
- Ability to multi-task and to complete work assignments with interruptions.
- Attention to detail.
- Iniative to learn all aspects of payroll.
- Demonstrate advanced level proficiency in Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates in Accounting/Business.
- 2 years experience in a business department using accounting software, spreadsheets and database tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting/Business.
- Experience working with payroll software.
- Union payroll experience.
- Vista/Viewpoint software experience
