Job Description
The Associate Director, Media Planning plays a senior role in developing and executing data-driven digital media strategies that support client objectives across the US healthcare market. This role partners closely with analytics, creative, and content teams to deliver integrated, high-performing campaigns. The Associate Director also serves as a primary client contact, providing strategic leadership and operational excellence across accounts.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and lead comprehensive digital media plans across paid search, paid social, programmatic, and video channels.
- Partner with Analytics to define measurement frameworks, interpret performance data, and optimize campaigns against KPIs.
- Collaborate with Creative and Content teams to inform messaging, formats, and channel strategy based on media insights.
- Serve as a day-to-day client lead, presenting media strategies, performance reporting, and recommendations.
- Oversee media budgets, approvals, and spend governance in partnership with Media Operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years of digital media planning experience with end-to-end ownership of multichannel strategy, execution, and optimization.
- Hands-on agency experience planning media for the US healthcare or pharmaceutical market, including strategy development for DTC and/or HCP campaigns.
- Proven leadership of small media teams (3–5 people) with demonstrated ability to guide workload, priorities, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated client-facing leadership, including presenting media plans, insights, and measurement findings (e.g., Ipsos or equivalent) to senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with media and analytics tools such as DoubleClick Campaign Manager, DoubleVerify, Bionic, or equivalent platforms.
Desired:
- Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior media team members.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for media modeling, reporting, and storytelling.
- Award recognition or contribution to industry-recognized media work.
- Experience influencing creative and content strategy through media insights.
Additional Information
This posting is for an existing vacancy at Klick. The base salary range for this position is between $110,000 - $125,000. The final amount offered will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate's work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior work experience.
